To celebrate Charles Darwin's 199th birthday (Feb. 12), the Center will bring back one of Steve Allen's brilliant Meeting of Minds teleplays. This staged reading by professional actors, including Dan Lauria (The Wonder Years), Wendie Malick (Just Shoot Me), Robert Forster (Jackie Brown), Joe Culp (Apollo 13), and Nicholas Hosking (We Were Soldiers), will feature the historical characters of Darwin, Galileo, Emily Dickinson and Attila the Hun illuminating their histories and ideas with Steve Allen. This is a rare staging of the famous award-winning series written by Steve Allen in the 1970s that starred his wife, Jayne Meadows, among many others.
