Subject: Are we paying attention?

Why is all of this going unnoticed by the media????  They send 1000 reporters to Alaska to dig up something on Sarah Palin and they have this politically incorrect crap right in front of their eyes!

 i_safe     i_safe

From Dreams of My Father:'I ceased to advertise my mother's race at the age of 12 or 13, when I began to suspect that by doing so I was ingratiating myself to whites.'

From Dreams of My Father : 'I found a solace in nursing a pervasive sense of grievance and animosity against my mother's race.'

From Dreams of My Father:'There was something about him that made me wary, a little too sure of himself, maybe. And white.'

From Dreams of My Father: 'It remained necessary to prove which side you were on, to show your loyalty to the black masses, to strike out and name names.'

From Dreams of My Father:'I never emulate white men and brown men whose fates didn't speak to my own. It was into my father's image, the black man, son of Africa , that I'd packed all the attributes I sought in myself , the attributes of Martin and Malcolm, DuBois and Mandela.'

And FINALLY the Most Damning one of ALL of them!!!

From Audacity of Hope:'I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.'

* If you have never forwarded an e-mail, now is the time to Do so!!! We CANNOT have someone with this type of mentality running our GREAT nation!!  I don't care whether you a Democrat or a Conservative. We CANNOT turn ourselves over to this type of character in a President. PLEASE help spread the word

Amazing, a democrat set this to me.

John R. Guthrie’s “Reply to All” response:

Hi (Deleted) and friends:

These distorted, out of context quotes: Can anyone cite exactly where they came from? If so, please let me know. But I can say with a high degree of probability that that no one can.

This sort of foolishness reminds me of when Senator McCain was attacked when he was previously a candidate for the presidential nomination. It as the same sort of Rovian “whisper” campaign, alleging that he was guilty of bastardy, that he had been traitorous while confined in Hanoi, that  he had a Vietnamese mistress while imprisoned, that he was insane, that he was gay, etc. I found that sort of false and misleading statement as repugnant and ill-informed as is the previous email.

Vigorous debate concerning qualifications, policies, and intent of candidates is in one thing. Such a low level of discourse as this email, however, one that is as racist and ill-informed as this “Obama is a (black) monster”, says a great deal more about those who spread such than about any candidate.

I’m pleased and proud that I voted yesterday, early and by mail. I studied the candidates’ economic and health care policies, etc., not their race or false and malicious charges of “Muslim,” implying for the ill-informed, terrorist, sympathies.

With Best Regards,

John (John R. Guthrie, Simi Valley)
